Friesian stallion with saddle, saddle pad, bridle, bandages and fly veil. From the cool, northern Friesland comes a horse as noble as the fiery Andalusian: the Friesian. He has a silky, flowing mane and a particularly beautiful, long tail. The Friesian is a cross between Dutch Draught horse and Spanish horses. Due to the noble blood it is not surprising that he likes to hold his head proudly and high. The Friesian also raises his knees higher than other breeds of horses with its sweeping movements. That is why the Friesian is especially popular as a dressage horse. Friesians are bred exclusively as black horses and must have no white markings on their coat. However, they only get their jet-black colour over the years. At birth, the foals are always brown. Warning! Choking hazard- small parts.
