Product Description
Straight feed for horses.
Linseed is rich in high-quality omega-3 fatty acids and mucilage, which cover the stomach lining like a protective film. They can therefore be fed to horses with gastric ulcers and thus have a calming effect. They also have a supportive effect on the intestines, where the mucilage can improve the intestinal passage of excretory substances. Linseed is also recommended for targeted feeding in cases of free faecal water, diarrhoea and colic: As they can absorb and bind up to eight times their weight in water and thus have a dietetic effect.
The rich omega-3 fatty acids they contain can have a positive effect on the elasticity of the cell membrane of blood and nerve cells and thus promote blood circulation throughout the entire organism. Linseed is also particularly rich in selenium and valuable vitamins such as vitamins B1, B2, B6 and E. The yellow linseed naturally produces less hydrocyanic acid and therefore does not need to be cooked before feeding. This means that all the valuable ingredients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and the important mucilage remain intact.
Composition: Yellow linseed 100%
Analytical constituents: Crude protein 18.3%, crude fibre 27.30%, crude fat 42.20%
Feeding recommendation: Approx. 10-20g per 100kg body weight
Use for the stomach: Pour warm water over yellow linseed and leave to absorb for approx. 30 minutes. Mucilage formation is immediately apparent and the mucilage forms a protective film on the stomach lining.
Use for the intestines: Simply add yellow linseed dry to the feed. The linseed then swells during digestion and the mucilage is available to the intestines.
Feeding instructions: Do not heat above 50°C, otherwise valuable nutrients will be destroyed.
