Ideally suited for overnight stays under the stars: lightweight, space-saving, robust and waterproof 1-person tent (water column 3,000mm) with taped seams. Quick and easy to pitch. Equipped with four lightweight, collapsible aluminium poles, an aluminium pole for the centre section of the tent, practical bag for storage and carabiners for a secure foothold. The entrance and exit of the tent is protected from insects with an additional insert using a flyscreen net. The net and waterproof cover can be opened and closed with double zips and, thanks to the mechanism, can also be rolled up and folded up. Ventilation windows on the two short sides are also protected from insects by mesh material. The tent has an overall size of 205 x 80 x 50cm when pitched and thus offers enough space for one person. The pack size is 54 x 16 x 17cm and the weight is approx. 2.5kg. Outer material 65% polyester, 35% cotton, mesh insert 100% polyester, tent floor 100% polyoxford (210 denier), tent poles 100% aluminium.
Assembly instructions:
First take the poles out of the bag and put them together so that you have four arches and a centre pole. Then spread out the tent. At the head end you will find two fabric tunnels through which you have to push two of the arches and insert them into the front and rear ground eyelets respectively. The arch that has been pushed through the rear flap must go into the two front eyelets and vice versa. It does not matter which arch goes into which eyelet, as they have the same dimensions. Then insert the middle pole (through the fabric tunnel on the top of the tent and the two opposite eyelets) and insert the arches in the same way at the foot end, so that the tent and frame stand upright. Now you can fix the cross points of the aluminium arches with cords for a better hold and fix the tent with the enclosed pegs to make it windproof.

Great tent

I haven't owned the tent for long, so I cannot comment on the tent too much, but the quality seems excellent.

The tent is fantastic, very easy to put up, well made and quite spacious enough for one. I'm delighted with it.

I saw one years ago on a mountain camp and was told 'if you ever get a bivvy, get this one!' so when I saw it by Kramer I didn't hesitate! I've not been out to properly test it yet, but have set it up indoors and the quality is top class. The top bar makes it freestanding and easy to move and use without guy lines. The colour is great too and should blend in well with the mountains on its first test!

Good product, fast delivery, also good tracking service
Easy to assemble, not tried it outside yet but think it will hold up.
The colour and the material is really good quality.
The size of the product is really good, enough room for hiking gear in a medium or large hiking pack
The price was reasonable.
Very happy

I bought this item with some skepticism as I have tried several similar designs' from other sources' such as eBay.
The Twin Oaks model however, is nothing at all like those aforementioned items.
It is a high quality single person bivvy tent . Strong, waterproof taped seams, thick and strong material. The tent pegs are excellent. While being only shepherd hook type, they are 6mm thick solid steel. I had no problems driving them in.
Condensation was virtually nonexistent due to the two mesh covered vents at each end. These are a velcro/ prop type with a mesh guard to prevent insects from entering.
The hatch way has a separate bug net for warm evenings with two toggle fasteners to allow the waterproof hatch cover to be rolled & tied up.
The four arch poles are aluminium, not carbon fibre. The Twin Oaks also has a centre beam. I've not seen any other model with this feature. It allows the tent to stand free, without relying on guide ropes or the tension created by the ground stakes. It also means the middle of the tent doesn't sag in on the occupier, especially in wet weather.
The carry bag is made from the same material as the tent itself and is also just as waterproof. So are the pouches for the poles and pegs. Both these have tie ups to prevent the contents from escaping.
The tent can be folded and packed down to such a size, that it is actually shorter than the pole pouch. Even when casually rolled up, the carry bag has ample room.
The two small luggage straps included mean you can keep the roll intact, reducing the space required in your back pack.
With regards to room inside, it's better than many others. Length and width wise, I found it comfortable. Width to roll other either way. There was even room for my boot bag and food at the bottom. This is all with an 3 inch air mattress inside.
I am only 5ft 7, so this is when the advantages of being squat come into play. But I estimate a person of six foot would also be fine in the twin oaks. Though maybe the boots etc would not be inside if you were.
I am an experienced stealth/wild camper and I appreciate the very low profile the twin oaks presents. The absence of bright colours is also a plus, in my opinion It is allows me to blend into the undergrowth without having to bring scrim netting.
I bought this on sale and I am very happy with it. I would heartily recommend it to those seeking a single man, compact tent for wild/stealth/hiking and motorcycle camping.
