Innovative, close-fitting sweet itch rug made from elasticated and breathable functional material. Blocks at least 97% of UV radiation and also offers reliable sun protection (equivalent to SPF 50+). Suitable for horses that are particularly sensitive to mosquitoes. The neck and body parts are one piece to ensure maximum protection against insects slipping in. With hook and loop fastener on the neck piece for attachment to a headcollar. Lightweight, particularly elasticated insert at the withers to minimise pressure. All-round protection thanks to generous, elasticated belly- and chest flaps and double tail flap. Removable genital and udder protection made of air- and liquid-permeable mesh material to protect against black flies.100% polyester. Ordered a 6' (mare's usual sized). This rug slips back dreadfully and the mesh wither panel is in the middle of her back.

A good rug against midges. Sizing system means rug doesn't fit ponies very easily. Horses are ok in a size 3" bigger than they measure, but ponies are not.
