Our summers are getting drier and hotter. Accordingly, we need to protect our horses not only from insects, but also from the dangerous sunlight when they are turned out during the day or all day. Our Fly Mask Sun Shield is therefore a combination of strong, fine-woven ripstop mesh and breathable 600 denier Oxford polyester material: The ripstop mesh in the eye and nostril area (anatomically shaped) reliably protects the horse from insect intrusion and blocks at least 60% of UV radiation while providing optimum visibility. The spacer seams ensure a safe distance from the eyes. The Oxford polyester material on the top of the head, nostrils and cheek area even blocks 97% of UV radiation and corresponds to a SPF of 50+ (roughly comparable to a sun protection cream). Perfect fit and wearing comfort thanks to double hook-and-loop fastener and forelock cut-out.100% polyester.
