Our summers are getting drier and increasingly hotter. Accordingly, in addition to insects, we also need to protect our horses from dangerous UV rays when they are turned out during the day or all day. Our Sun Shield Fly Mask therefore provides a combination of strong, fine mesh ripstop fabric and breathable 600 denier Oxford polyester material: The ripstop mesh in the eye and nostril area reliably protects the horse from insects and blocks at least 60% of the UV radiation, while at the same time providing optimal visibility. The spacer seams ensure a safe distance to the eyes. The Oxford polyester material on the top of the head, nostril and cheek area blocks even 97% of the UV radiation and corresponds to a UPF of 50+ (roughly comparable to a sunscreen). Perfect hold and wearing comfort due to double hook and loop fastener and forelock cutout. 100% polyester.
