Which Western halter suits my horse?

There is a large selection of halters for Western horses. In our online shop you will find Western halters in different designs, colours and materials.
Western halters made of leather with hallmarks or silver fittings are particularly stylish. These are also ideal as show halters and are a real eye-catcher at every show.
They don't have to be any less elegant for everyday use in the stable. In our shop you can buy Western halters with braided patterns, a glittery look or elaborately decorated with little stones. They are made of robust nylon, which is why they are very suitable as stable halters for Western horses. Depending on how comfortable you want the horse to be, you can also choose Western halters with soft chloroprene rubber padding on the headpiece, noseband and cheek pieces.

How should a Western halter fit properly?

Both show halters and Western halters for everyday use must not constrict the horse, pinch off important facial nerves or rub on the bones or in the eye. As with the headstall, the correct fit is also particularly important for halters. Pay attention to the following basic rules:

• One to two fingers fit between the side buckle and the cheekbone
• The noseband rests on the bridge of the nose, not on the nostrils or the thin tip of the nose.
• Two to three placed fingers fit between the bridge of the nose and the noseband
• About one flat hand fits between the chin and the strap.
